#835 Different vertical spacing between objects

After checking this issue (https://sourceforge.net/p/pcmanfm/bugs/658/) on PCManFM 1.2.0 I can confirm that the spacing issue reported there is fixed but I have noticed that there is also a different vertical spacing. For example on my system /usr/bin draws 11 lines per screen but /usr/lib draws only 10 lines per screen.

  • This is not bug but it is how it should be - it is not grid-like view with fixed cell center distance but view with fixed space between items instead. In icon view mode and thumbnails view mode columns width is fixed, in other modes rows height is fixed, and other dimension depends on how much space file name will spend, therefore in icon view mode the row height may be variable. This behavior is unified with other GTK+ file managers - Thunar and Nautilus.
