I'm using PCManFM 1.1.2 and it is possible to create 2 or more bookmarks for the same location with the same name. I think on creation PCManFM should check if such a bookmark already exists to prevent creating duplicates. Also on reading ~/.gtk-bookmarks duplicate bookmark entries should be maybe ignored.

  • We hope this issue is completely fixed in the Git repository recently.
Check it out when it's possible for you and if the bug still exists then reopen the report, please.
    Thank you very much.

On testing this with PCManFM 1.2.0 I'm still able to create duplicate bookmark entries.

I have retested this with PCManFM 1.2.2 and the bug exists there too.

  • Well, you cannot add a duplicate bookmark using 'Add bookmark' option in context menu. And that is possible if you drag & drop it into exact place. Are you sure that should be denied? Is that impossible that someone would want a duplicate bookmark?

Well, you cannot add a duplicate bookmark using 'Add bookmark' option in context menu.

I have tested it with the menu bar -> Bookmarks -> "Add to Bookmarks..." which allows to add the same bookmark multiple times.

  • This require some strings changes so may be done in 1.3.
