I'm using PCManFM 1.1.0 and have copied from Windows Vista a directory with the name "prüfen" to an external drive. PCManFM is showing the ü as a square with something like a X in it. The problem is if I want to rename the directory PCManFM stops showing characters behind the ü so I'm seeing only "pr" on renaming. Maybe there should be a placeholder character shown like the square with the X or at least the rest of the readable characters should be shown like "prfen".

  • This issue should be handled in 1.2.0-beta0 version of libfm. Test it, please, when it's possible for you. Note that you should recompile pcmanfm to use new version of libfm.
    Thank uou very much.
