- With pcmanfm in "Icon view", select more than one file of the same type, and drag them into a program that supports opening more than one file at once (e.g. drag a number of mp3s into audacious). All the files will be opened or added to the playlist or whatever. Good, this behaviour is correct/expected.

- With pcmanfm in "Detailed list view", select more than one file and drag them into the same program. Only the last file is opened. This behaviour is incorrect/unexpected.

- In either view mode, select more than one file and press [enter]. Only the last file is opened, regardless of whether or not the files are of the same type, and if they are, regardless of whether or not the associated program is capable of opening more than one file at once. This behaviour is incorrect/unexpected.

  • Those two bugs should have been opened separatedly.
    Thank you,
    I'm not sure if they can be fixed before 1.0.2 release since it may require some changes undesired in frozen state.

    • milestone: --> 1.2
    • priority: 5 --> 4
    • labels: --> libfm

  • Regarding last behavior: this is intended, because 'Enter' does the same as double-click and it should activate only current item. Probably it isn't consistent behavior but change it so close to release (which is about to be in few days) isn't appropriate too as other people may expect former behavior so let change it in 1.1. Thank you.

  • I hope the issue with "Detailed list view" is fixed in Git now. Check it when that is possible for you, please. Thank you very much.

    Sorry, sometimes I find it hard to know. Should I create a new ticket now for the second issue/feature request?

    Yes, it seems to be fixed.

    It is late already. Just have it in mind next time, please.

    • status: open --> open-later

    • assigned_to: nobody --> lstranger

    • status: open-later --> closed-fixed

  • This issue should be handled in 1.2.0-beta0 version of libfm. Test it, please, when it's possible for you. Note that you should recompile pcmanfm to use new version of libfm.
    Thank uou very much.
