When setting the preferred web browser with libfm-pref-apps it adds an entry like
but it must add
*adds to ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list
This need some more discussion since it's possible that some browsers don't support https.

First I don't know of a browser that doesn't support https and second if that entry is added and a browser doesn't support https it doesn't make any difference.
But the way it is now if we click on a https link it won't open necessarily the default browser, it will open the one that has x-scheme-handler/https in mimeinfo.cache (by default the first desktop file listed).
Ah ok, I see what you mean. Just don't remember now a browser that doesn't handle https.
Even dillo or elinks open those links.
This issue should be handled in 1.2.0-beta0 version of libfm. Test it, please, when it's possible for you.
