    Please note that this behavior is IMO a big usuablity regression. It's make icon view useless in some cases.
    I consider it as a blocker for inclusion in Lubuntu for 1.0.1, as there is no way to read the complete filename, even on focus.

  • Ah, I see. If the full name will be visible in tooltip, would it fix the usability you mention? If it will satisfy your request then I'll fix it in master branch and you can include the commit diff into package as backported fix.

  • I've added two changes:
    a) increased unwrapped file name height to max 3/4 of width (was 1/2);
    b) added tooltip with file name when item is hovered.
    The changes are in current Git. Check it when it's possible for you and reopen the ticket if something still is bad.
