I do not follow the logic of this naming decision. FOD spec[1] writes:

Name Specific name of the application, for example "Mozilla".
GenericName Generic name of the application, for example "Web Browser".

I don't think "File Manager" can be seen as a specific name. It is a very generic name. And how can "File Manager" being both specific and generic at the same time?

I suggest following the FDO spec: change "Name" to PcmanFM or something specific like that. Or, if maintainer decides not to change "Name", at least you should remove the "GenericName" key since it is meaningless to keep redundant information, which only introduces meaningless extra work for translators .
