If a folder is "active" (i.e. some files are being downloaded to it or any files being extracted), pcmanfm tends to blink (literally).

Removing FAM (File Alteration Monitor) and installing Gamin (http://www.gnome.org/~veillard/gamin/) fixes this.

The latest pcmanfm built on top of glib/gio doesn't have this problem. Please test the latest source code in git repository.
