Category: Output Sheet Formatting >Group: To be Fixed for 5.14 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Kevin W. Patterson (kwp) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Multiple classes breaks PDF page format Initial Comment: If the number of classes that a character has exceeds the space provided for Class on the top header for Page 1 of the PDF export, the field line wraps there. This expands the header beyond the size calculated for the page, and causes all of the content for page 1 of the PDF beyond the top row group to print on another page. You can reproduce this effect by taking a character, and adding three to five additional classes, then exporting to PDF. Attributes, Skills, etc. will print on the 2nd page. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Eddy Anthony (eddyanthony) Date: 2007-05-31 02:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=886893 Originator: NO I'm not sure I would call this a bug since the code is doing what it was designed to do, that is it makes a page break and puts the rest of the stuff on the next page. I would call it breakage if it prevented output or if the PDF was missing stuff. That said I've been able to reproduce this intermittnently, curiously it occurs what it makes a new line for the classes but if you cause it to make a new line by choosing a race with a long name the page break does not happen. There might be a technical fix since there probably is enough space for that specific line return but it's beyond my skill. The second solution would be to ajust the design to allow more space for the classes output, that would probably require removing one of the other blocks or combining two others together, like perhaps height/weight. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=748296&aid=1723688&group_id=25576 |
