Category: Documentation Clarification Group: For 5.14 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Maredudd (maredudd800) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: CHOOSE:NUMCHOICES needs clarification. Initial Comment: RE: [pcgen_experimental] Skill Mastery The 3+INT on the end is how many choices you have to make each time you take the feat, the NUMCHOICES at the beginning is the max. IIRC though, using the one on the end without the one up front doesn’t work, so you have to use both to allow multiple choices in the same feat without having to use up multiple feat slots to get multiple choices. Barak From: pcg...@ya... [mailto:pcg...@ya...] On Behalf Of Tom Parker Sent: Sunday, May 27, 2007 10:09 AM To: pcg...@ya... Subject: [pcgen_experimental] Skill Mastery I'm looking at CHOOSE: Tokens and found a Hidden Feat called Skill Mastery in the SRD and RSRD... However, the CHOOSE is CHOOSE:NUMCHOICES=3+INT|SKILLS|LIST|3+INT So the problem I have is that I'm unsure what this is trying to do. The docs suggest SKILLS has no arguments. I seem to recall the NUMCHOICES= item is a limit on how many times the CHOOSE can ever be chosen, not how many choices it provides. This is consistent with MULT:YES However, when Skill Mastery is actually taken, it actually provides 3+INT choices. I believe this is a bug? Or am I completely missing something? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=748234&aid=1814801&group_id=25576 |
