I have used Password Safe for many years now (since V1) on both my personal and work PC. Recently, I began to use a personal tablet (iPad) and would like to use the partner product to secure passwords and account ID on the iPad. Maybe I am being a bit paranoid here, but I do not want to store all my passwords (financial, key software purchasing sites, etc) on the iPad, but wish to keep track of accounts for magazines, etc for when I travel. Does Password Safe offer any ability to indicate which items can be copied/replicated to mobile devices and which should not be?

I could make two different safes, but that would cause added work on my home PC. If there was an option to share/synchronize only indicated items, that would be the ideal solution.

Thanks

    Hm,

Currently splitting your passwords into two files seems your best option.
Even if the PC version would support such a "partial sync" as you suggest, this would probably not work without support from the ipad (and other) version(s) as well.

Another option might be to have one password database refer ("include") another. Need to think about this a bit.

In any case, this is a feature request, not a support request. Need to see if SF supports changing the request type...

    Thanks,

    Rony

Thanks for the reply. I agree that I have not seen a feature like that on
PasswordSafe. In researching other software, I noticed that Keepass offers
a solution similar to the 'include' feature you recommend. I have tried
both software packages, but prefer your package.

While I was using this solely on my business and personal computers, this
concern never arose. However, with the advent of mobile devices (which are
likely more easily lost or misplaced), there are some categories that I
would rather leave on my home pc. With the proliferation of many
services/apps on the mobile devices requiring accounts (and passwords), some
form of carrying them on the mobile devices are also necessary. The
'include' feature would address that and mitigate the need for additional
    changes by third party vendors.

    Thanks

    Ron
