Can I have Passwordsafe on my old computer and also transfer it to my new one. i.e. have it on both of my computers? In my ideal world I would like to keep the information on a jump drive as well so that I can access my passwords on any computer. My old computer uses 32 bit Vista, my new one uses 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium. If I can put Passwordsafe on a jump drive will it also work on a Mac as I have access to one of those as well. Thanks.

    Hi,

You can certainly install PasswordSafe on more than one computer and share the database via a disk-on-key (jump drive). Just copy your existing database (pwsafe.psafe3 by default) to your disk-on-key, and "point" PasswordSafe to it by clicking on the ellipsis (...) on the opening screen.

Alternately, if you have a U3-enabled disk-on-key, you might want to buy a version of PasswordSafe designed especially for disk-on-key use - the application is also on the jump drive, and will run on any Windows PC without having to install:

As to the Mac, you can run a PasswordSafe clone, jpwsafe, that can read and write to your password database:

    Cheers,

    Rony
