This is to formally announce that passwordsafe now has a new project
It's been a year, almost to the day, since Jim Russell last actively
maintained the project. All attempts to reach him via the Internet have
failed. I hope all is well with him, and would like to thank him for the
fine work he's done in bringing passwordsafe from Bruce Schneier's
CounterPane Labs to SourceForge.
I've been using PasswordSafe for quite a while now, and as a developer, I'm
itching to add new features and enhance it, as well as port it to other
platforms. Anyone who wants to contribute is more than welcome!
This is to announce the availabilty of a new and (hopefully) improved
version of Passwordsafe.
The version is 1.91, and it's currently a beta release. We hope to make it
non-beta in a couple of weeks, based on the feedback we receive from users.
I've managed to mess up the release name - In the File List section of the
project's web pages it's listed as 1.9.1a, whereas the downloadable zip
files are named -1.91-. My apologies for the confusion - I promise to
improve in future releases...
