It would be very handy to be able to edit an entry, apply, and then navigate to the next or previous entry in the list.

I am not sure that we will do this for a number of reasons. Two that initially come to mind are:

    1. If the user has made changes to the entry, does pressing Next/Previous imply OK, Apply or Cancel?
    2. These Property Pages are already quite 'busy' and I am not sure that we want to add anymore buttons. It is also not trivial to add more buttons at the bottom of Property Pages and position correctly - Microsoft only provide support for OK, Cancel, Apply & Help. All others would have to added by our code - not insurmountable but needs a good reason.

    Hi David.

Thanks for the response. My thoughts...

1# - If the user makes a change and then selects next/previous, they could be prompted to save or cancel the update before navigating to the next record.

2# - It might look less busy if arrows or links are used for the next//previous navigation buttons (See attached images). I added the buttons in multiple locations just as examples. I also shorted the tab control in on example; it seems there is enough room on all the pages (at least what is visible) to make that change.

Not sure you could actually place the images or links in the top right corner over the tab control.

    Thanks,

    Jim

    Thank you for the images.

Due to the way PropertyPages and PropertySheets work, the only place to put these buttons/texts would be in line with the current OK/Cancel/Apply/Help buttons. If on a PropertyPage, then they would have to be added to each and every PropertyPage.

I am not convinced about the need to implement this.

If you just want to see what is in each entry without changing them, have you tried the List view instead of the Tee view? (View->Flatterned List).

You can sort this by any of the columns shown. You can also customize the columns - right-click on the column header and select the "Column Picker". You can also edit any item in the list via the menu, toolbar or [shift]double click (if [shift]double click is set to View/Edit).

    Understand.

I was thinking more along the lines of having to make changes across several entries. Had to do that after importing my entries from another program (import worked well, the export from the other software not so much ;)

In a situation like this, it would be much easier, and faster, to stay in the dialog.

This isn't a real big deal, just a nice to have. So far I really like the app. I've also gotten pwSafe for my iPhone and sync through DropBox. Works very well.
