Please allow multi-select capability similar to windows for drag/dropping entries from folder to folder.

My real use case: To speed entry I manually entered several hundred entries into one folder called misc. I now want to be able to multi-select entries into folders so I can organize them. Currently, in version 3.26 I can only drag and drop one at a time. This is made more difficult if you have to drag to a folder that you must scroll to.

Multi-select should work like Windows, e.g. control-click lets you pick a single entries that are not contiguously listed. Click then shift click selects the block.

Multi-select is not trivial for PasswordSafe - for Drag & Drop as well as other functions. However, if your existing entries are in the incorrect group, you can drag the complete group to another position in the tree.

An alternative approach is to export the database to an XML file and do a global edit for the group value for the incorrectly placed entries. Then you can import the XML file into a new empty database. BEWARE that the XML file will be in clear and you should use a secure erase program to clear the file from the disk (just permanently deleting from the disk is not good enough as the data will still be in clear on the disk and could be retrieved).

I forgot another approach. PasswordSafe does support Drag & Drop between different databases. So you could open another instance of PasswordSafe with the target folder open and then drag the entries you want to this new folder (all-be-it one by one).

Once finished, you close the target database and then merge it into your existing database. This way there are no in clear copies on disk.
