When I use a command line argument "database" leaving the path empty, e.g.
"start pwsafe.exe %FILENAME%.psafe3" & "Create intermediate backups" option is
enabled it becomes impossible to save the database & no backups are created,
causing the "Unable to create intermediate backup" dialogue window to appear.
This definitely happens because of using the command line argument, so when
selecting the same file using the built-in file selection window at
programme's start up everything works great.

    Best regards,

    Rico

I suspect this is because you cannot create files (without Admin authority
that PWS does not and should not have) in the current directory from which you
run the command. Maybe you are changing directory to the one containing the
PWS program either explicitly or implicitly

The "start" command has an extra parameter "/Dpath" for the starting
directory. Try setting this to the directory containing the database that you
are trying to open (you should be able to derive it from the value in
    %FILENAME%).
