The backup database file (ends in ~) is stored by default in the same folder as the password database. Is there a way to encourage it to exist somewhere else, such as the Password Safe folder inside the Programs folder?
It's disconcerting to my non-technical family members to see (what they believe are) two copies of the database listed together in the My Documents folder.
Another possible suggestion: Leave the backup file in My Documents, but have Password Safe set its hidden attribute.
Howzabout creating a "passwords" directory under My Documents and saving the database there, so that both the database and its backup are "out of sight, out of mind" to the users?
