Sorry for this simple question, but i could not find an answer in either the help file or the forum.
Are all fields in the Basic tab encrypted, that are title, user name and notes. And does that apply also to the other tabs, like Additional, Dates and Times and Password Policy. I think so because they all contain sensitive information, but want to be sure.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Every field in the database (preferences and entry fields) is encrypted.
Application preferences are not saved in the database but in a file normally called pwsafe.cfg. This is in plain text. For Windows 7 & later it can normally be found in:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\PasswordSafe\
It can be saved elsewhere and Password Safe informed of its location using the -g command line flag. e.g. pwsafe -g "D:\Temp\xyz.abc". However, in all cases, it will not be encrypted.
Action can be taken to ensure it contains nothing of significance e.g. you don't save the list of last used databases, you don't have a default username etc. The Help file lists the text preferences kept in this file.

Yes.
Please see the Help file:
Appendices > Preferences
for items which will be stored
in the configuration file; pwsafe.cfg.
In the help file is only described, where the preferences are saved.
