Cannot add new passwords to PasswordSafe (Could not open file for writing!")
How to reproduce:
1. Open PasswordSafe
2. Create new entry (put "test" in every field)
4. Error message: Could not open file for writing!
5. Try to exit
6. Error message: Couldn't save database - Please save manually
1. Move password database to Desktop
Just upgraded to v3.13 from v3.12 after experiencing weird user interface corruption (interface kept dropping back to Win3.11 look, missing title bars, black blocks where buttons should be etc).
This version fixes the corrupt user interface, but now features a fairly serious bug in the file save function (described above).
The database is located on remote Windows share (mounted as H:) on a Windows file server at work (Windows 2000 Server, I think).
Offline files are enabled (and displayed by Windows Explorer with the blue "sync" icon in the corner), but the share is currently connected and no other application is having trouble reading/writing to files in H: -- just PasswordSafe.
It was also failing to save preferences at one point, but a restart of the application seemed to clear that particular problem.
This is a fresh build of WinXP SP2. The problem did not occur with any previous build.
