( This is a usability/ user interface design opinion. I am NOT saying the software behaves in a faulty manner. )
When choosing 'Export entry to XML format' and then the 3 dotted file location button, the auto-suggested file name changes from pwsafe.xml to pwsafe.txt
This is counter-intuitive in my opinion. It should stay as pwsafe.xml until the user edits it to something else.
The reason is that when you then try to find the file to import it on another PC with password safe, the default is sensibly looking for a file ending in .xml, so it doesn't show files named pwsafe.txt in the folder you have correctly saved it to. This wouldn't happen if the default extension stayed as .xml all the way through the process.
I have attached a MS WordPad file in 'open document text' format to demonstrate the behaviour in password safe V3.30 (5195) on Windows 7 32 bit.
