I am always worried about little vs. big endianisms (I am developing under OS X). Here is a quick update. I am moving tomorrow and I am not sure when I will regain Internet access. So far the TIFF_m seems to be complete (that does not mean it is bugs free). The TIFFs are created but they are not combined into a single TIFF. This is (so far) on purpose as the code to do so is not there yet. It does not generate JPGs either. My efforts are now concentrated in brightness adjustment (what enblend does) because it is the main reason I decided to tackle PTmender in the first place (I want multilayer images with brightness adjustment under OS X). The code that does this appears to be the most complex part of PTstitcher. There is a lot of code and computations and my progress is slow. I estimate it might take me until the end of January to get that part going. Does anybody know of a good reference to read about how brightness adjustment is/can be computed? But I need help, and the way others can help me is by creating test cases and running them against PTstitcher and PTmender. We need to make sure PTmender is doing what it is supposed to do. There are other good news too. The code to combine the different tiffs into PSDs is fairly standalone and we can easily have a tool that combines different TIFFs into a single PSD file (including layer masks). -- Daniel M.
