Hey Guys
I love your tool. Unfortunately in the windows version the "Fragment Offset" for IP cannot be set to 0. It is always 1. This causes Problems with wireshark and some other tools. Do you think you could fix that?

kind regards

    Hi jmue,

Unfortunately I'm aware of the bug but I can't do anything.

packETH port to Windows was done by someone else a while ago where version 1.6 was taken as input (I'm even not sure if that version in Linux had the same problem). However, the person who did this port never contact me again and there was no update on this. I tried once to do this, but I have very little experience with Windows programming and didn't come very far.

The only suggestion I can give you is to move to Linux version. packETH had a lot of enhancements from 1.6 to 1.7.3 which bring many new features and also solves many bugs.

Personally, I think that with this Fragmentation bug packETH is more or less useless for any serious testing beyond L2. Maybe I should give a warning somewhere near download section or remove Windows version completely.

If there is someone who could port the latest version of packETH to Windows, that would be a great job!

    Regards, Miha
