New connection hardware

I've redesigned the interface connector and an prototyping PCBs to test it. This connector will only do 7 machines, and can be connected to an optional reset board for remote resets. It will allow the software to keep track of tokens in & out, regular bonus rounds, big bonus rounds, and CT bonus rounds for up to 7 machines. If the CT bouns feature isn't something that people want, then just let me know in the feature request system and I'll remove it and re-design the interface. With the removal of CT bonus tracking, it would be possible to track 14 machines. Remember, though, the system *should* be able to handle more than one parallel port connection, so you should be able to use them with PCI and ISA parallel port cards, too. I'm also looking into plugging them into USB convertors, too.

Parallel port connector

After researching details on the parallel port and various interfacing methods I've created a schematic (albeit a poor one) on a theoretical interface to allow 14 pachi systems to be connected to the PC. The CT bonus and remote reset functions do not exist on this schematic. It may be possible to incorporate them at a later date, but would have to sacrifice a machine or two to free up the data and status pins. I've uploaded a pic of the schematic for preview purposes. The full size version is available on the project's website.
