    We have created a JBoss JMX MBean for changing P6SpyOptions dynamically.  Very useful for turing trace on/off, reloading spy.properties on demand, etc.  No changes to p6spy are required, although it may not be compatible with older releases.

    If any interest, I will post it.

      I would be very interested in adding this in to the p6spy distribution!  the easiest way might be just to send me an email at jeff@p6spy.com.  I will integrated the code from there.  If all goes well, we are hoping to have the next beta release out by next week, so I will include it with that.  fyi, I am hoping the final 1.0 release will be available by the end of the month.

      thanks!

      I'm not finding this in the 1.0.5-beta release. Was it not included?

      Thanks!

    • What is with

      these MBean from jboss3.x, I think its can do the some as the p6spy.property, or doesnt it?

      in conf/jboss-service.xml you find:
      <mbean code="org.jboss.varia.property.SystemPropertiesService"
          name="jboss:type=Service,name=SystemProperties">
          <attribute name="Properties">
          </attribute>
          <!-- Load properties from each of the given comma seperated URLs
          <attribute name="URLList">
            http://somehost/some-location.properties,
            ./conf/somelocal.properties
          </attribute>
          -->
        </mbean>
