    I cant seem to filter P6Spy.  No matter what config I do, I get resultsets, which make p6spy nearly useless for me.

    I've tried:
    includecategories=statement,error
    excludecategories=result,info,debug,batch,commit,rollback

    includecategories=statement,error
    excludecategories=

    includecategories=
    excludecategories=result,info,debug,batch,commit,rollback

    None of these remove resultsets.

    What am I doing wrong?  Here's my full configuration:

    module.log=com.p6spy.engine.logging.P6LogFactory

    executionthreshold=
    outagedetection=false
    outagedetectioninterval=
    filter=true
    include     =
    exclude     =
    sqlexpression =
    autoflush   = true
    dateformat=
    includecategories=statement,error
    excludecategories=result,info,debug,batch,commit,rollback

    stringmatcher=
    stacktraceclass=

    reloadproperties=false
    reloadpropertiesinterval=33

    useprefix=false

    appender=com.p6spy.engine.logging.appender.Log4jLogger
    #appender=com.p6spy.engine.logging.appender.StdoutLogger
    #appender    = com.p6spy.engine.logging.appender.FileLogger
    #logfile     = p6spy.log

    append=true

    log4j.appender.STDOUT=org.apache.log4j.ConsoleAppender
    log4j.appender.STDOUT.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
    log4j.appender.STDOUT.layout.ConversionPattern=[spy] %m%n

    log4j.logger.p6spy=INFO,APPLOG,CONSOLE

      Try commenting out one or the other of includecategories or excludecategories.
      I don't know if that will help, but it works for me.

      I have been give permission by one of the admins to do work on p6spy.

      The new work I have started is on the svn repository.

      I have done some preliminary work on reorganizing and maven-izing the code.

      This is not yet completely building but is a good start.

      patch files are welcome.

      Some of the patches posted over the years have been incorporated already.

      Code that is oracle specific has been moved to the optional directory ( mostly because I have no way of building or testing it . ) Help in that area would be appreciated

    Hi there -

    Sorry for the late response. I think I am the only one who has recently done anything with p6spy. I got some basic access to this project from the only original developer I could reach. Unfortunately, not full project admin access. So I have moved over to github for further development.

    You are welcome to help out there by forking and then sending me a pull request.

    Further development at : https://github.com/patmoore/p6spy
