Bugs item #808552, was opened at 2003-09-18 15:33 Message generated for change (Settings changed) made by godvin You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=410239&aid=808552&group_id=34206 Category: Security Group: OPT 1.X (Max) Status: Open Resolution: None >Priority: 9 Submitted By: Ronny Hanssen (godvin) Assigned to: Guy Davis (guy_davis) Summary: Unable to change password Initial Comment: When a user changes his/her password the resulting screen shows "Password Updated". This is a very misleading text! In fact, the password has NOT been updated, AND even worse, the "Allow login" property is in addition set to false! The result is that the user which is trying to change his password is locked out of the system! The workaround to this is to have a user with sysadmin privileges change it. The sysadm "Change password" DOES work, luckily... I have even tried to deliberately enter different passwords for the password and where it is to be retyped, hoping that OPT would recognize the problem and show a warning. But to no prevail. It still claims that the password has been updated. I have observed the error on three different accounts on two different OPT setups. One running 1.0.4, and another one running 1.1.0. Hope this qualifies for an "immediate fix"... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=410239&aid=808552&group_id=34206 |
