I think what you and we ultimately want are stable binary installers that you can work from. We should tie these to tagged releases. Hopefully we can start looking at cross platform automated packaging after the first of the year to streamline this. We have also been in some recent discussions on how we might use ossimPlanet and OpenGL to interactively place uncontrolled imagery.
