I too have been wondering what happened to Openbook. Some of you might be aware of it already, but a Google search did turn up a website that might be of interest for the curious: http://www.arlecchino.org/jgbell/etaoinshrdlu It seems that J. G. Bell is the original developer of Openbook, hired by trfoundation. I e-mailed him several weeks ago but I haven't received a reply. In any event his website has the latest version of Openbook available for download. One can only speculate, but it seems that something bad must have happened. My emails have gone unanswered and the phone number has been disconnected. I, too, would like to know what happened to the OpenBook effort and the trfoundation. Dan, in late January you wrote: Some mail fwded this way seems to indicate that the news on OpenBook is not bad, just not yet public. Apparently everything's under control; the devel folks have some things in the works, and hopefully we'll all hear more about it very soon. Can you shed any light on what happend? David D.
