SITUATION IDENTIFIED IN:
osFinancials RC9 (1.0.2.28)

REPRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT:
Windows Vista (any version)

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
osFinancials does not comply with Windows Vista file location policies

SPECIFIC PARAMETER SETUP:

STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED:
run osFinancials under Windows Vista

OBSERVED RESULT:
in the user profile's Virtual Store folder entries start appearing

EXPECTED RESULT:
osFinancials works in accordance with already long established MS file location recommendations

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
Currently the following files are changed under the user-account and thus should not be in the Program Files, but rather in de AppData or Documents folders:

osFinancials set of Books (should be in the Documents folder IMHO)

osFinancials\bin\Settings.dfm (should be moved to AppData IMHO)

osFinancials\DataTmp (might this be the cause of the SQL -204 on temp-tables previously reported?)

osFinancials\plugins\reports with many subfolders (guess this is the result of the 'generate reports folders' option; should be generated in AppData IMHO)

osFinancials\reportman (should be in AppData IMHO)

osFinancials\tmp (should use Windows' configured temp-folder location)

This is currently a minor issue due to Vista's Virtual folder solution; but this might raise great issues in future windows-versions when the current 'Virtual folder' compatibility solution is replaced by 'access denied' for illegal user-access to Program Files

If you grant the users who will use OSFinancials all rights in the folder where OSFinancials is installed, it will work like a charm
