  • I was trying to set up email notifications. However, despite using correct SMTP port details (for my gmail account as well as company mail server hosted on Yahoo) I received this error

    "Test email failed. This can be due to incorrect configuration".

    FYI: The OrangHRM application is hosted on my local server (which is different from the mail server).

    Please let me know a solution to this problem.

    Also, let me know if any other information is desired.

  • did you add the correct email configuration on Admin->Email Notification->Configuration section ?
    if not SMTP server may not allowed connect from your local IP .. that may be the reason of test mail not sending out

     
  • I have the same problem. I have just installed to try for my company.

    Installed OrangeHRM 2.6.0.2 with default option
    -Apache
    -MySQL
    -PHP
    -phpMyAdmin

    We use Google Apps for my domain.

    Change in php.ini
    ;Extension=php_openssl.dll
    to
    extension=php_opensll.dll

    2.I configurated Mail Configuration as:
    Trying 1:
    My config
    Mail Sent As*: hradmin@mydomain.com
    Sending Mdthod: SMTP
    SMTP: Host*: smtp.gmail.com
    SMTP Port*: 587
    SMTP User: hradmin@mydomain.com
    SMTP Pwassword: ……….(my password)
    Use Secure connection: TLS

    Restart computer to make sure that all services restarted
    I got a message in web browser

    stream_socket_enable_crypto() : this stream does not support SSL/crypto

    Technical Details
    Encountered the problem in E:\DPeHRM\htdocs\ehrm\lib\common\Zend\Mail\Protocol\Smtp.php Line 206

    System Environment

    * OrangeHRM : 2.6
    * PHP : 5.2.8
    * MySQL Client : 5.0.51a
    * Memory limit : 128M
    * Maximum session lifetime : 1440

    Please note
    The error was logged in the OrangeHRM log located in E:\DPeHRM\htdocs\ehrm/lib/logs/logDB.txt

    If you are unable to resolve the problem please post the problem in OrangeHRM Forum

    But nothing happen.

    Please anybody help me how to do it before applying all staff to use OrgangeHRM Live
