Optipng 0.6.5 crash very often when I try to compress large aerial photos (10000x10000) size 100M to 300M.
XP SP3 UK 4 cores 3G RAM both in hardware and ESXi. I can send testfile 150 M if needeed.
- Do you know if that's a Windows-only problem or does it happen on GNU/Linux, too?
- For the same image, does it crash each time or does it work one time and not some other time?
- Can you share the full command line of the call to OptiPNG with us?
- How much runtime do you experience for an image that large?

- Crashing is stable, so with some files it crash allways.
- It is just basic: optipng in.png
- About 20-40 minutes.

Very strange, I had try to reproduse the problem and it is gone. After patching my computer in the end of November is has not happened. I will try compress aggain 10000 picture (now I have done 2000) to see if it will happened again.
The only information that I have now is from eventlog:
Faulting application optipng.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module optipng.exe, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0001fda4.
