Hi I have seen some post about this earlier on the list but without any good responses. I may compile and run oprofile crosscompiled to my arm platform from an X86. It works fine in my 2.6 kernel from montavista and when running opreport it outputs: CPU: CPU with timer interrupt, speed 0 MHz (estimated) Profiling through timer interrupt TIMER:0| samples| %| ------------------ 4688 81.5730 vmlinux 1059 18.4270 no-vmlinux but as soon as I try to use for example the -l option it complains about them. I guess this is a arm-port bug because of others reports on this list. Will this be fixed or is this project dead? Are there any other ways of getting the results out? Using another linux machine for example and reading the /var/lib/oprofile/* directories. Any one with experience with this? Regards David |

Somebody with an ARM machine will have to do this work and constantly asking about it won't help. Presumably you're a developer and could do this yourself. regards john |
