Oh ... does generating callgraph for application also depend on the kernel's backtrace support?

Didn't see the  /dev/oprofile/backtrace_depth on RHEL-4 machine. Took a look at the RHEL-4 kernel.
The RHEL-4 kernel doesn't have support for back traces no backtrace.c directory for RHEL4:

RHEL-5 does have a backtrace.c
