V2.5 Beta 2 converts Math equations to MathML in Word 2007 and Word 2010 when Design Science tools Math Type and Math DAISY are installed but in Word 2003 they are converted to images only.
Steps to reproduce: Convert the attached file to DTB XML in Word 2003 using Beta 2 with latest Math Type 6.7 and Math DAISY 1.0. Check the output folder and the code of XML file. The output folder contains all the equations as images and the XML has no MathML.
Note that this document converts to MathML with the older save As DAISY 2.1.1 in Word 2003.

Discussion

  • Contains equations created with Math Type

  • Issue still persists with RC1 in 2003. The resulting XML does not contain MathML.

Hi Prashant. We can't repro this.
Can you confirm that you have the ad-ins installed and that they are not disabled?

Any chance you could try on another PC?

  • I have tested this on machines running Vista and Win 7. Math Type and Math DAISY are properly installed because I am able to get correct Math Page output from the Math Type add-in. Further, when I instal the older Save As DAISY 2.1.1 on the same machine the same document does translate with MathML.
Therefore, I am sure that the current release of Save As DAISY RC1 does not properly interface with the Design Science tools in Word 2003. This is a critical issue as discussed with Dipendra and George. Sample doc attached
