I have OpenXenManager working on my Mac for most functions, but I cannot get the console to work.

I am using Mac OX X 10.9 (Maverick)
    XQuartz - 2.7.5 (xorg-server 1.14.4)
    Xcode - latest update (2/25/2014)
Python 2.7.6 - (3.3 is not yet recognized)
    MacPorts - latest update (2/25/2014)
Xcode CLI - latest update (2/24/2014)
VNCViewer - Tried using TightVNC and VNC

I watched the terminal window for both x11 and terminal, and there is no commands entry for electing the tab like those that appear for log. How do I fix the install so the system recognizes I called a VNC window to open?

  • I too ran into a similar problem running the latest version on my Ubuntu 13.04 OS. I traced the problem to a bug in the console startup code. Then I discovered someone else discovered the problem already and created a ticket for it in the SF issue tracker. This reporter also attached a diff / patch to the issue that you can use to fix the problem - if you are familiar with applying patches that is. If you're still curious see bug #29 here: https://sourceforge.net/p/openxenmanager/bugs/29/
