What is the easiest way to make a scrollable text area without a surrounding frame?
When I use the stereotype "Text_Area" I get a single line editor, which is not what I am looking for.
When I use the stereotype "Memo" I get a scrollable text area editor but with a surrounding frame. When I add @NoFrame, I get an error that NoFrame is not applicable.
Do I have to create an editors.xml file? If yes, could somebody provide an example editors.xml file?
Thanks a lot,
try to add the next entries in the editors.xml of your application:
<editor name="TextArea" url="textAreaEditor.jsp" frame="false">
<for-stereotype stereotype="TEXTO_GRANDE" />
<for-stereotype stereotype="MEMO" />
<for-stereotype stereotype="TEXT_AREA" />
This change the behavior for all three stereotypes in your application and for the TextArea editor, if you only want this effect in some place then use:
<editor name="TextAreaNoFrame" url="textAreaEditor.jsp" frame="false"/>
in editors.xml and annotate your property in this way:
private String myText;

That works and it gives me at the same time a glimps of the editor capacities.
