Auditing and Envers

  • Have anyone used Hibernate Envers?

I would like to try it on OX. For the moment we have a custom made auditing tool, but envers provides versioning of the audited data and that can be interesting to implement.

I tried some weeks ago, and posted some doubts about how to do some things.

It works, don’t know if you want some specific information.

      Regards.

I am using Envers in my current OX application and it works nice for my needs. Also, I have created some modules to make the auditory data available by global revisions or even specifically by instance of the audited entities.

Also, if you need it, you can use the Envers' API, to query or manage the auditory data.

  • Hi:

Thanks, seems that you are pretty happy with it. We'll give it a shot, and post results afterwards.

    Hi Federico,

my intention is to remove AccessTracking from OpenXava 5. I think that envers is a better solution, so we can simplify the OX distribution.
