We have moved it to bugs, because it produces that the text will no be correct in the first module request.
Try with Polish language.
Try installing a regular (not portlet) war in a Liferay 6 (such as the one of openxava.org)
The bug is solved, the bug was that when the page was loaded first time the encoding was not the correct. However, it does not fail in all servers, I only reproduced it when using a regular war (no portlets) in a Liferay.
The fall-back enconding now is UTF-8, instead of ISO-8859-1. However, OX first will try to use the system enconding. Therefore, to establish the enconding you want to use you have to use -Dfile.encoding on starting your server.
