I know the feeling. :-/

Honestly, it's been some time since I tried something other than the
default build under Windows. I'll try it this weekend and see what I
get.

In the meantime, you may want to try enabling texture support *or* gzip
support, rather than both of them together; just to see if you get a
different result.
