For the second time: please do not post HTML mail to this list. I suggest it's most useful to time loading and rendering separately. Loading a file is going to be much more time-intensive than a single rendering pass. If you put some system calls to get the time around the call to browser::load_url, that should give you a pretty good idea of the load time.
