I just commited a rdesktop application for Linux, which uses a statically linked version of rdesktop. It should work on any version of Linux (tested on Debian, Suse, 32 or 64 bits).
Here are the needed libraries to run it (on a 64 bits system) :
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xf7fab000)
libX11.so.6 => /usr/lib32/libX11.so.6 (0xf7e6b000)
libc.so.6 => /lib32/libc.so.6 (0xf7d16000)
libdl.so.2 => /lib32/libdl.so.2 (0xf7d11000)
libxcb.so.1 => /usr/lib32/libxcb.so.1 (0xf7cf8000)
libXau.so.6 => /usr/lib32/libXau.so.6 (0xf7cf5000)
libXdmcp.so.6 => /usr/lib32/libXdmcp.so.6 (0xf7cf0000)
I think every machine with a X server should have these libraries.
For now, the application uses a shell script to launch rdesktop, as I can't find a way to set the executable bit on the binary from Adito.
Let me know how it works for you…
