Hi, we work at the moment on a update package. I think we will release it today. In this package the problem should be fixed. Please wait a few hours. Thank you Reiner Am Freitag, den 16.12.2005, 14:53 +0100 schrieb L M: > Hello, > > I'm having problems connecting as a client to a server using > openvpnadmin (on fedora core 3). Hello, I'm having problems connecting as a client to a server using openvpnadmin (on fedora core 3). The problem seems to be the 'ns-cert-type' directive, which is always set to 'client' whatever I do. Here's the generated config: proto udp verb 4 dev tun remote 10.1.18.128 port 1195 persist-key persist-tun cert /root/openvpn/keys/gangan-ww.crt key /root/openvpn/keys/gangan-ww.key cipher BF-CBC ca /root/openvpn/keys/ca.crt tls-client ns-cert-type client It works fine when I comment out the ns-cert-type line. My server doesn't use ns-cert-type (yet). Is there a way to deactivate this setting? Also, if i were using ns-cert-type in my server-certificate, shouldn't that line be set to 'server' in my client-config? (I tried the corresponding checkbox in the certificate tab, but it doesn't seem to change anything..) Regards, Lars Mai |

Hi, sorry for the late answer. We will check it until the weekend. We are a little busy this week with development. Our next development step will hopeful ready in the next 4 to 6 week, but we will check this problem asap. The usual introduction; GREAT PRODUCT GUYS! This config file works fine from command line (openvpn): client dev tun proto tcp remote 192.168.0.1 1194 ca /home/thomas/keys/ca.crt cert /home/thomas/keys/yourname.crt key /home/thomas/keys/yourname.key nobind mute-replay-warnings persist-key persist-tun comp-lzo verb 3 When I open this in openvpnadmin, edit the config -> click certificate, it add's a "1" to Tls-auth. If I remove it, and click ok, it'll still save the config with a tls-auth 1 ..which I don't use. Background; I generate all certificates on user basis on the server. No password is needed. This works fine with command line, and it does with openvpnadmin (unless I press the "edit" button"). Is this a bug, or am I missing something (I have already posted it as a bug at sourceforge). |

Hello there, This is my first time posting to the mailing list. I have ran into a problem with the latest release of openvpnadmin. You can find the problem also at the SF openvpn forum. But since I posted there already a couple of days ago and noone answered I thought about posting it on the mailing list too. After running OpenVPN-Admin 1.1.2 installer on my English Windows XP SP2 I got surprised with this message: http://img263.echo.cx/img263/4706/openvpnadminerror0nf.png And then I pressed Cancel and I got this message: http://img263.echo.cx/img263/4959/openvpnadminerrorcontinued9kh.png Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting I have already installed also gtksharp-runtime-1.9.2-win32-0.3.exe although I don't know if it's necessary. Necessary or not it still bombs me with the same error. And if I go to <start-programs-openvpn-openvpnadmin> I get the same errors messages. Could someone give me some help. TIA Cheers |
