I have released a binary/source preview (that is, the source is still a little messy and needs to be cleaned up before a real source release, and the UI is not complete) of OpenTeddy for Windows.
OpenTeddy is an easy-to-use freeform sketch-based 3D modeler based on the paper by T. Igarashi et al, "Teddy: A Sketching Interface for 3D Freeform Design." Sketch-based modelers differ from traditional 3D CAD and design tools in that the user creates free-form strokes instead of having to explicitly choose points, edges and faces on a 3D mesh. Sketch-based modeling tools are intended also to be easy and accessible to novices who would normally be too intimidated to use traditional 3D modeling tools.
