When printing a song either to a physical printer or to a PDF file, the text has the appearance of a very low-resolution image that has been scaled up to fit the page (see attachment).

Agree. It looks like 150 DPI or less. Unfortunately, installing it in Wine doesn't help -- there is problem with printing. So, I had to install Windows in VirtualBox and only this way I can print with high quality.
I think this problem can be solved by bumping up the output resolution within OpenSong for Linux. But, who will do it?

Ubuntu 12.10, Linux Mint, OpenSong for Linux 1.7 or 2.0.1 beta

    Plsease, help.

Update: still an issue on v2.1.2.

I also notice that even when printing directly to a PDF (via cups) the resulting file is an image, not text embedded within a PDF. So it seems the chord chart is converted to an image before printing rather than being printed as formatted text. This certainly contributes to the low-res problem.
