I've made a patch in exec module (based on exec_avp code) that enables to read an environment variable and put its value inside an avp.

For example,

exec_getenv("HOSTNAME",$avp(s:hostname));

Gets the value of environment variable HOSTNAME and put it in $avp(s:hostname).

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for the patch - the functionality looks good and I'm ready to commit it, but you need to regenerate the patch with the following changes:
    1) make a unified diff
    2) include the documentation for the new function. (modules/exec/doc/exec_admin.xml).
