Hi,

we see some crashes with the following error:

Jun 22 12:10:14 cr02 /usr/sbin/opensips[2722]: CRITICAL:core:del_lump: offset exceeds message size (953 > 847) aborting...
Jun 22 12:10:14 cr02 /usr/sbin/opensips[2736]: CRITICAL:core:receive_fd: EOF on 12
Jun 22 12:10:14 cr02 /usr/sbin/opensips[2717]: INFO:core:handle_sigs: child process 2722 exited by a signal 6
Jun 22 12:10:14 cr02 /usr/sbin/opensips[2717]: INFO:core:handle_sigs: core was not generated
Jun 22 12:10:14 cr02 /usr/sbin/opensips[2717]: INFO:core:handle_sigs: terminating due to SIGCHLD

The opensips-config is quiet simple, because all messages going through will pass this message:

b2b_init_request("top hiding");

There are only some formating-rules within "local_route":

#uri-format
if(uri=~"sip:\+.*@*") {
$rU=$(rU{s.substr,1,0});
}
if(uri=~"sip:[1-9].*@*") {
$rU="00" + $rU;
}

opensips: 1.7.2
system: Debian 6.03

regards,
Deniz

Discussion

    • assigned_to: nobody --> bogdan_iancu

  • Try to allow opensips to generate a corefile on such crashes ( do "ulimit -c unlimited" before starting opensips) - once you have the core file, extract the backtrace from there ( do "gdb opensips corefile" and there "bt full").

    Regards,
    Bogdan

    After using newest 1.7.2 from svn the problem went away.
