I set up a website on a development-url which gets crawled and indexed by OSS.
Now before going live, can we easily switch servers without loosing all indexed documents to
so that from this moment on OSS crawls live.somesite.com AND
returns URLS pointing to live.somesite.com WITHOUT having to reconfigure and re-Crawl the whole site..
Hope this makes sense!
At the moment there is no such feature embedded in OpenSearchServer.
You could however write a script using our API to get all documents, edit their URL and post them as new documents in another index (or the same index, but you will then have to delete all "old" documents, since "url" is the unique field edited documents will not replace the old ones, they will be added as new documents in your index).
If you want to keep known URL in the URL database of the web crawler you will also have to change them using our API to match your production domain.
