Work at SourceForge, help us to make it a better place! We have an immediate need for a Support Technician in our San Francisco or Denver office.
I want to create my own customize kernel for openqrm initrd-template considering that upon svn co we couldn't found redhat.x86_64 tar file in the usr/share/openqrm/etc/templates directory. Do hope you can give us a step-by-step procedure on how - to - create our customize Red Hat 5 x86 kernel using a special (very plug-able) initrd-template for our openQRM server for us to use for our network deployment.
I appreciate if you could help me on this for I tried to figure this out for a month already with my trial and error testing approach but of no resolution.
Hi again Lawrence,
you can either use the centos.x86_64 initrd template which should be binary compatible to RHEL.
For creating a custom RHEL initrd template do the following :
- login/ssh to a RHEL system
- svn co openQRM sources
- run "make && make install"
- scp /usr/share/openqrm/etc/templates/openqrm-initrd-default.tgz :/usr/share/openqrm/etc/templates/openqrm-initrd-template.rhel.x86_64.tgz
many thanks and have a nice day,
Project Manager openQRM
Thanks so much too Matt!
