    Hi qinlingganquan,

It seems you have a second dhcpd server in your network answering the requests before the openQRM dhcpd does.
2 dhcpd server in one network causing troubles.
-> please turn off your second (other) dhcpd server and it wll start to work

many thanks and have a nice day,

    Hi Matt,
              thank you for your answer.
              #chkconfig -list | grep dhcp
           dhcpd                      0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off
           dhcpd6                    0:off 1:off 2:off 3:off 4:off 5:off 6:off
There are tow dhcpd that is dhcpd and dhcpd6.which dhcp will be shut off?My localhost IPAddress is 192.168.16.252.
           br0        inet addr:192.168.16.252 Bcast:192.168.16.255   Mask:255.255.255.0
           virbr0    inet addr:192.168.122.1  Bcast:192.168.122.255  Mask:255.255.255.0
would I set dhcp server within br0 network segment or within virbr0 network segment?

    Hi again qinlingganquan,

openQRM is not using virbr0 but br0 (as you configured in the kvm boot service - please see the about page)

The "other" dhcpd server running in your network is not the dhcpd6 one but (i guess) your internet-router.
-> please make sure the "other" dhcpd is turned off. If it is your internet-router than you may need to re-configure it to not run dhcpd or you need to create a separated physical network separated from the "other" dhcpd.

many thanks and have a nice day,

    Hi  Matt,
Openqrm DHCP, localhost DHCP and Internet - router 's DHCP is what relation? Is which DHCP  used by virtual machine? My localhost that is setup openqrm(5.0) and kvm soft package. If I cut off the internel nets, then whether the KVM VM created on localhost can mutual communication, and whether visit KVM VMs with vncviewer tools ?

    Hi again qinlingganquan,

openQRM should be the only dhcpd server used.

Did you configured your bridge settings for the KVM plugin ?
-> please check the about/config pages in the plugin.

many thanks and have a nice day,

    Hi Matt,
On " /plugins/virtualization/kvm/help/about" KVM required kvm (eventual kvm-pxe), socat, bridge-utils to be installed. But when I install socat package by using "#yum install socat" command,VM can't be visited by vncviewer. The following shows my steps and system's messages.
         **#yum install socat
         #vncviewer localhost:1

    Hi again,

Did openQRM configured automatically bridge setting for the KVM plugin?
-> please read Plugins -> KVM -> Help -> Config

To help you please post more details, logfiles and especially your bridge-configuration on the Host.
e.g. what is in /var/log/syslog when you start the VM ?

    Hi mattr,
There are three syslog on my localhost.
    (1)/etc/logrotate.d/syslog
    (2) /vol/ubuntu64/var/log/installer/syslog
    (3)/vol/ubuntu64/var/log/syslog
which syslog is what I want to see?But I found (2) and (3) syslog's time was Mar/9/2011.That is to say when I created a KVM VM no  syslog file was build.why?

    Hi again,

    /var/log/messages on your KVM Host.

On RH based system it is /var/log/messages, on Debian based systems it is /var/log/syslog.

many thanks and have a nice day,
