I have OpenQRM5 installed and smoothly running, I have one issue, when customer request a windows machine from cloud, the process goes ok until the requested windows VM machine logo appears, and it stops there.
tried to check many issues but nothing helped, windows master image was created through booting over network (tftp, sanboot), installed windows direct to san. windows iscsi initiator is running, also syspreped.
ok, does the master Windows Image boots ok ?
-> the only difference for the openQRM Cloud is that it will create a snapshot of the master image.
many thanks and have a nice day,
Project Manager openQRM
Yes, Master windows image boots ok on the same VM was created, also OpenQRM agent is installed on, sys-preped.
since there is no difference from the windows master image, where the master boots normally, I suspect the iscsi management process, as there is no auto management with OpenQRM on the created windows snapshots, the iscsi files (allow, deny, ietd.conf) on the storage machine (the one with snapshots) doesn't limit iscsi initiator to a a specific target process.
Hi again Zeroj,
Actually there is an auto-management of the ietd daemon + configuration.
openQRM automatically assigns and authenticates the resource of your appliance to the specific iscsi-target volume specified in the image of the appliance.
-> this happens during appliance start + stop !
Still not sure what the exact reason for your troubles are, sorry
